Step into the Barber Battle arena and put your technical skill, creativity and composure to the test against barbers from across the industry. Places in each category are limited, so choose your division and secure your position early.

Choose your category

Apprentice – 0 to 3 years’ experience
For emerging barbers ready to test their skills and make their mark. Due to demand, the Apprentice competition will run across two rounds.

New School
For modern, creative and trend-driven work. Bring a fresh concept, sharp execution and a look that pushes barbering forward.

Senior Open – 3+ years’ experience
For experienced barbers ready to compete at an advanced level and demonstrate the precision, technique and control that come with mastering the craft.

Team Relay – Three barbers, one model
Three barbers work together on one model, with each barber completing a 10-minute stage of the haircut. The team has 30 minutes in total to create the finished look.

Your contestant ticket includes

• Entry into your selected competition category
• Barber Battle admission for you
• Barber Battle admission for one model
• The opportunity to compete for prizes, industry recognition and bragging rights

This ticket does not include admission to the Expo on Sunday or Monday. Expo tickets must be purchased separately.

Competition requirements

• You must arrange and bring your own suitable model.
• You must bring your own barbering tools and equipment.
• Each entry is valid for one contestant and one model, in one selected category, unless purchasing a Team Relay entry.
• If you want to compete in more than one category, you must purchase a separate contestant ticket for each category.
• Contestant must arrive with their model at 4pm and complete check-in by 5pm - do not arrive at 5pm - your entry may be forfeited and passed onto a waitlisted contestant.
• Please ensure your name is entered exactly as you want it printed and announced.
